The “Capilano Builders Garden Giveaway Contest” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Capilano Builders (the “Sponsor”).

Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada who have reached the age of majority at the time of entry.

Employees, representatives, and agents of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household, are not eligible to enter.

Contest Period

The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. PT on April 27, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 10, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).

How to Enter (Instagram & Facebook)

No purchase is necessary.

To enter via Instagram or Facebook, participants must:

  1. Comment “SPRING” on ANY contest post by @capilanobuilders.

  2. Check your DMs (Direct Messages) for entry completion instructions.

  3. Respond to the DM instructions with your:

    • First/Last Name

    • Email

    • Your answer to the question “In which city/municipality do you live?”

Limit one (1) entry per person. Entries must be completed during the Contest Period.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.).

By entering, participants:

  • Release Instagram and Facebook from any and all liability related to this Contest

  • Acknowledge that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram or Facebook

Prize

There is one (1) prize available to be won:

  •  A Custom Cedar Garden Box package, valued at approximately $900 CAD. 

  • The prize includes up to 32 sq. ft. of planter box space (e.g., one 4' x 4' x 2' planter, two 4' x 2' x 2' planters, or a similar configuration), to be determined in consultation with the winner.

  • Installation and build by Capilano Builders.

  • Final design and layout subject to site conditions and mutual agreement.

  • Date of installation to be determined by both the Sponsor and Winner after the prize is accepted.

The prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.

Winner Selection

A random draw will be conducted on or about May 11, 2026 from all eligible entries.

The selected entrant will be contacted via:

  • Direct Message (Instagram or Facebook), and/or

  • Email (if collected through entry method)

Winner Confirmation

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must:

  • Respond within 3–5 business days of notification

  • Provide a valid email address

  • Correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question

  • Sign and return a declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Contest rules

Prizes are awarded only upon fulfillment of these requirements.

Potential winners that do not meet these conditions, cannot be contacted, or fail to respond within the specified time period may be disqualified and another entrant may be selected.

Prize Delivery

The winner will be contacted to arrange delivery or pickup of the prize.

The Sponsor is not responsible for any additional costs, including contents to be placed within or surrounding the Prize, unless otherwise specified.

Content & Conduct

By entering via social media, participants agree that:

  • Comments must not contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content

  • The Sponsor reserves the right to remove entries that violate platform guidelines or these rules

  • Any attempt to manipulate or unfairly influence the Contest may result in disqualification

General Conditions

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules and Regulations.

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest.

Privacy

Personal information collected will be used solely for administering this Contest and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, unless otherwise indicated by the

Governing Law

The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada.

Winner Release & Announcement

After signing a Winner Release, the winner may be announced on the Sponsor’s social media channels after confirmation.
