The need for eating disorders literacy and prevention education is immediate and growing. Most parents are unaware of the practical steps they can take to help reduce the risk of eating disorders from developing in their child, or their child’s immediate community.

Prevention-focused adult education has the potential to reduce both individual and societal healthcare costs for children and youth. Most importantly, it has the potential to save lives. Can you help us reach more families?

How we started

When Penny first set out, she created a crowdsourced fundraising video with the headline: PENNY’S BIG ASK.

“I reached out to my circle of friends, former colleagues, anyone who would listen, with one simple request: can you give $20 and help me spread the word to get this off the ground?"

67 people contributed in the first 2 weeks, turning various individual gifts into a collective start-up fund of $5,000+. Their generosity not only covered our first critical expenses, but also showed how deeply this mission resonates.

It gave our newly formed Board of Directors and first volunteers the encouragement and momentum to begin.”
